What To Know
The study will compare an EAT-guided elimination diet versus a sham diet to see whether IgA food-specific antibodies from esophageal secretions predict trigger foods and reduce esophageal eosinophilia and symptoms.
Investigators will also evaluate serum food-specific antibodies, kappa light chains, and new food frequency questionnaires as less-invasive biomarkers to monitor exposure and disease activity. The project is a pilot/feasibility study intended to optimize the EAT assay, collect biomarker data, and inform sample-size and design for larger trials.
