What To Know

This report describes preclinical laboratory work (mouse DSS colitis) not human clinical results. The authors measured disease activity, tissue histology, oxidative-stress markers, cytokines, apoptosis proteins, gene expression (STAT1/3, SIRT), and histone modification, and observed improvements with PBA or suramin compared with untreated DSS-exposed mice.
